But actually, we're not - prepare for another wave of diaries this Sunday-Monday. We're also not done because there's not yet been a resolution. I've been involved with an all-volunteer organization that I'm now head of, and one thing that I've learned is that conflicts like this aren't over until everyone in the community has decided that they're over. I regularly find myself dealing with issues triggered by incidents months and years back.
From my experience, it's far more productive to take these issues head-on, than allow them to rankle and respawn later in unexpected ways. There are basically two ways to deal with scenarios like this:
1. Goodbye and Good Riddance: If you're not willing to work with the defined parameters, then we don't want you here.
2. Let's work together to resolve this issue: How can we find more effective ways to address the issues raised?
